Teen raped at knifepoint

The man threatened the siblings with a knife.

A TEENAGE girl (16) was reportedly raped after accompanying her brother to fetch his report card from school last Friday.

While making their way to the primary school in Sthlavent ward, Nzimakwe, the siblings were approached by a man. “The man allegedly asked the girl for sex and she refused,” said police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka. “He then produced a knife and chased the girl’s brother away before dragging her into the bushes and raping her.”

Police were contacted and officers arrested Mandlenkosi Nzimakwe (19) in the Nzimakwe area. He appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court on Monday and the case was postponed to October 2. He remains in custody.
