Red October: ‘Break the silence’
Locals will no longer remain silent about oppression, abuse, rape and murder on the South Coast.
SOUTH Coasters are no longer keeping silent about the brutal torture and murder of elderly women, and the senseless rape and abuse of defenceless children. They will be gathering at Margate main beach on October 10 at 12.30pm, and you are asked to support the ‘Red October’ campaign.
They will not be alone. People from 31 countries around the world will stage marches and gatherings in protest against oppression and violence against women and children in South Africa.
Red balloons will be released in protest against the oppression and violence against women which needs to stop and can no longer be ignored.
South Coasters are ‘seeing red’ about corrupt governance and the lack of crime prevention in the area, as well as the lack of protection for law abiding citizens against the crime wave that has hit the South Coast, plus the alleged failure of police officials to enforce the justice system on the criminals when they are caught.
The Red October campaign believes South African citizens are entitled to the protection of their rights as enshrined in the constitution. Everyone attending is asked to bring a red balloon.
