Venesh Sewraj earns KZN colours in darts

He has been praised for his calmness under pressure.

The Port Shepstone and District Darts Association, under the banner of Ray Nkonyeni Darts Association, is proud of Venesh Sewraj who has brought great honour to the association.

Venesh, aka Rubber, who plays for Crusaders Darts Club, has earned his KZN darts colours and held his own at the national champs in Cape Town earlier this year.

Being selected for a provincial side is no small thing as you are competing with the best in the province.

He and his team placed second overall, which was a phenomenal achievement for KZN and widely celebrated by all darts enthusiasts in the province.

Venesh scored nine 171s in the tournament as KZN stunned some of the bigger names.

Bupen Prakash, president of the Ray Nkonyeni Darts Association, said Venesh is known for his calmness under pressure and his clutch doubles and singles play.

Venesh hopes to one day represent South Africa at international tournaments, and is now only one step away for doing so.

He is also eager to develop darts among the youth on the South Coast. For more information on this contact him on 082-353-5381.
