SUCCESSFUL awards functions were held over three days at Merlewood Primary. Grades 1 – 3 was held last Tuesday, with awards being presented to the best achievers of the class, as well as for different subjects. This was followed by the awards function for grades 4 to 8 on Wednesday last week, where pupils were rewarded for hard work and dedication throughout the year.
The prestigious dux and ambassador awards were received by gr 8 pupils, Thabang Hlengwa and Minenhle Linda respectively. The final awards and graduation was held for grade R last Thursday and pupils kept parents enthralled and amazed with their antics.
Appreciation is extended to the guest speakers over the three days, namely Pastors Maggie Moonsamy, Ashley Munien and Ringo Hufft.
Parents are reminded about the budget meeting at the school on Saturday, November 30, at 2pm.
