AN INITIATIVE by the Department of Arts and Culture, provided an opportunity for nine pupils to attend an intercultural youth programme held at Sweetdale Camp recently.
Port Shepstone Senior Primary pupils were joined by pupils from five other schools in the Ugu District and spent a weekend filled with team building activities, aimed at encouraging youth leadership. The Sweetdale instructors were on high alert to ensure the pupils’ safety.
It was an experience that taught pupils the importance of teamwork, but most importantly, how to have fun at the same time. Pupils and teachers thoroughly enjoyed the experience and extend a special thank you to Meldon Appalraju, who accompanied the pupils.
Parents are once again reminded of the AGM/budget meeting, which will be held in the main school hall on November 19 at 6pm. A meeting for all parents of newly-accepted applicants for 2014 will also take place on November 20 at 5.45pm.
