Izotsha Primary’s U11A team undefeated

Man of the match was awarded to the entire team for good performance and a fantastic season.

LAST week saw the final Izotsha Primary sports matches being played. Cricket was played against Suid-Natal and the U11 A team won by 10 wickets. Suid-Natal batted first with 64 all out and Ross Klusener took 3 wickets.

Izotsha then chased the score down without losing a wicket in eight overs. Chase Britz scored 33 not out, and Chad Laycock scored 21 not out. Man of the match was awarded to the entire team for good all round performance and a fantastic season.

The U11A team has been undefeated the entire season and the U11B team won by one wicket. Suid-Natal batted first and made 75 runs all out. Izotsha played well and again, as a result of a good season and good teamwork, the entire team was awarded man of the match.

The school would like to bid farewell to coach Ryan Hawke, who has played an integral part in coaching school sports, particularly cricket. The pupils will miss Mr Hawke.

All grade 4 to 7 pupils are writing exams this week and it is hard to believe that the school year is drawing to an end.
