THE first team cricket boys played Kingsway. Sheppie High batted first and made 194 without loss. Yogeshan Pillay made 96 not out and Justin Parasuraman scored 70 not out. Kingsway made 103/8 (played with eight players). ‘JJ’ Momberg took 4/15 and PSHS won by 91 runs. Both the girls’ and boys’ touch rugby teams played matches recently.
The B team beat Kingsway 3-0, while the A team lost to Kloof 3-5, beating Hillcrest 4-2 and Westville Boys’ 5-0. The boys’ A team beat Kloof 5-3 and the B team lost 4-5 to Kingsway in extra time at the finals. The girls’ A team beat Kingsway 2-1 and Westville Girls’ 3-2, but drew against Kloof 2-all. The girls’ B team lost to Kingsway and Westville, but won against Kloof 2-1. In the finals, the A team lost to Westville and the B team lost to Hillcrest in extra time 2-3.
All teams played extremely well and achieved well, making it through to the finals. Girls’ water polo played St Henry’s and Durban Girls’, but none of these matches were victorious for PSHS. At Crawford La Lucia, the first basketball team lost while the U15s won their match.
