WOODGRANGE-On-Sea Primary was abuzz with excitement last Friday when the senior boys and girls took part in once-off knockout soccer and netball tournaments. The netball match was touch and go for both the Eagles and Red Vivas.
In the end, the Eagles proved to be too strong, winning with a log score of 20 to 13. The soccer match was thoroughly enjoyed by the spectators, pupils and teachers alike. It was a nail-biting match with excellent ball control and dribbling techniques demonstrated by both teams. Woodgrange Warriors had a marginal victory of two goals with ‘Stick Stars’ scoring just one.
Acting principal Dr Maliga Chetty commends all who took part, and especially the winning teams for showing great sportsmanship and camaraderie on and off the field, as well as coaches Khululiwe Khumalo and Dorah Vilakazi for their enthusiasm in reviving soccer and netball at Woodgrange-On-Sea Primary.
