Rugby players take a swing

The Bok players showed their full support for this fund-raiser.

SPRINGBOK and Sharks loose forwards, Ryan Kankowski and Marcell Coetzee, together with former Proteas legend Pat Symcox, lent their full support to the Hibberdene Squash Club’s Golf Day held at Port Shepstone Country Club last Sunday.

While Pat Symcox acted as the master of ceremonies at the event, Ryan and Marcell ‘got their hands dirty’ and took a few swings and putts on the golf course.

The support for the golf day was extraordinary with all 18 holes snapped up. Marvellous prizes were up for grabs, one being golf legend Wayne Westner (who was not present at the event) agreeing to be auctioned off for a round of golf with three people.

The golf day also turned out to be a family affair with braaiing, jumping castles, squash lessons for children and face painting taking place. Proceeds from the golf day will go to the Hibberdene Squash Club.
