PUPILS at PSSP took part in the CANSA Shavathon fund-raiser held at the school last Friday, as part of the school’s social responsibility. Pupils donated R5 to have their hair sprayed colourfully, in support of many cancer victims who suffer hair loss from treatment. The fund-raiser was well supported and a total of R4 306 was collected for donation to CANSA.
Final cricket fixtures took place last week against Southcity Christian College. After chasing 145 runs, the U13A team only managed 125 runs in their 20 overs after losing two wickets. Well done to Ben Junior Malamba who top-scored with 33 runs. In another match, the U13B team lost by nine wickets, but the U11B team performed very well, scoring 68 runs with six wickets in hand. Good bowling and fielding restricted Southcity from reaching Senior Primary’s score. Well done to Sphe Nhlumayo who top-scored with 34 runs, as well as Sphe Khuboni, who took three wickets.
The extramural/sport programme ended last Tuesday and pupils are now focused on final term assessments, which commence next week Thursday. For further details, parents and pupils are reminded to consult the assessment programme, which was issued earlier in the term.
