Women unite in prayer
There was prayer, praise and worship at the meetings, held around the world.
LOCAL churches around Port Shepstone were among those hosting Women’s World Day of Prayer services last Friday.
The theme of this year’s service was ‘Streams in the Desert’.
The day is celebrated by Christian women in more than 170 countries, who come together to observe a common day of prayer on the first Friday of March every year.
Women’s World Day of Prayer brings together women of various races, cultures and churches in fellowship and understanding.
This has been happening for the past 84 years and is an opportunity for women to come together to pray, praise and worship at a special service.
