Retreat opens its doors

All churches are welcome to use these facilities for retreats.

AN open day and thanksgiving service was held at Silver Oaks Retreat in Bushy Vales, near Marina Beach last Saturday. Silver Oaks is owned and managed by Crusade for Christ, a non-profit organisation. The day started off with a formal presentation and thanksgiving service in the Wesson Hall. Children were entertained outside with jumping castles and a water slide. After the service, visitors were invited to explore the campsite and facilities.

Silver Oaks Retreat can accommodate just over 80 people. There is a large hall and kitchen that can be hired for those groups who wish to cater for themselves, or the staff at Silver Oaks will cater for groups at a negotiated price. Silver Oaks works closely with Debbie van der Merwe (formerly of Eagle’s Nest in Uvongo) who offers team building, leadership and personal development courses.
