
A SERIES of field trips undertaken by the Islamic School left pupils educationally enriched and refreshed. Gr 5s visited Crocworld and the knowledgeable and friendly tour guide captivated pupils with his vast knowledge of birds and crocodiles. The highlight of the trip was the opportunity to hold a baby Nile crocodile.
Gr 10s tested their fitness levels at the Oribi Gorge’s challenging hiking trails, enjoying a tantalising braai at the end of the gruelling hike.
Gr 11s visited Eagle’s Nest for a team building course. The rain did not dampen the spirits of pupils as they enthusiastically completed team tasks. The challenging day ended off with a sizzling braai.
The recent district volleyball knockout tournament at Marburg Sports Complex served as a good learning curve for the school’s O16 boys, the exposure will empower the team for future tournaments.
