PORT Shepstone Lions and Lion Ladies, together with a host of guests, attended the club’s 44th charter dinner at Umthunzi Boutique Hotel in Umtentweni last Saturday.

During the celebrations, the club welcomed a new member, George Leggett, who was officially inducted by vice district governor Martin Rundle.

International awards were presented to Lion Otto Wank for 15 years of 100 percent attendance and Lion Mike Davison with a two member key award for sponsoring two new members into the club.

Club president Andre Beneke paid tribute to all members and Lion Ladies who contribute towards the success of the club’s community service projects and fellowship activities which form the very backbone of this, the largest and most successful Lions Club in District 410-C (KZN/Free State).
