SHEPPIE High’s first team rugby boys were placed third in the Gelofte Night Series after they beat Durban North College 12-0. The boys’ first team touch rugby beat Kingsway 7-3, and the U16 basketball team beat Grosvenor boys 46-16. In the first team cricket boys’ match against Southcity, the opponents were 139 all out with Lionel Wentzel taking five wickets for 37 runs.
PSHS batted and only managed to make 115 runs all out, with Yogeshan Pillay contributing 74 of those runs. Unfortunately Sheppie High lost this match by 25 runs.
Staff and pupils congratulate Pete Govender on his outstanding record of 40 years of efficient and dedicated service at the school.
Mr Govender is the estate manager, represents all non-teaching staff, and is also the longest serving member on the governing body.
