AS PORT Edward Primary heads off into the new term, the school extends a warm welcome to gr 7 teacher Nerissa Zoutendijk, who will hopefully have many years of teaching here. A further welcome goes to Bettina Peters, who is a student from the University of Pretoria and is doing her 10-week teaching practical.
Pupils who made the school proud are Nikita Boersma, who qualified for the SKZN girls’ cricket team, and ‘JD’ Hattingh, who took part in the South African Biathlon Championships held in Potchefstroom recently.
Thank you to the Umtamvuna River Lodge for the fun day held recently in order to raise funds for the school, it is greatly appreciated.
