Ramsgate bus accident leaves one dead

A collision between a bus and a car on the R61 near Ramsgate a short while ago has left the driver of the car dead.

According to Robert Mckenzie of KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Services, no one in the bus was injured.

“After the collision, the car went down an embankment and caught fire. The surrounding bush was also set alight. Unfortunately, the driver of the car died at the scene,” said Mr Mckenzie.

The fire was extinguished by the Hibiscus Coast Fire Department. All emergency services responded to the scene.
