Compass will sharpen your instincts

The new Jeep Compass is available at Union Motors in Shelly Beach.

THE new Jeep Compass, as the name suggests, gives you the opportunity to ‘find your freedom’ and explore new territory.

It certainly is smartly detailed, coming with upscale interior, featuring contemporary new fabrics, stylish accent stitching, updated cluster overlay/graphics, new soft-touch features and satin chrome accents.

A unique decorative appliqué with the Compass badge is prominently displayed on the instrument panel. Premium soft-touch materials on the centre armrest and door armrests provide added comfort.

The Compass navigates easily.

And the chances of you taking a wrong turn aren’t too many, thanks to the advanced Uconnect 735N system with full-feature navigation.

The Uconnect voice command lets you select your destination using your voice and gives you turn-by-turn directions over your vehicle’s speakers.

The new Compass provides an outstanding blend of capability, comfort and urban chic. With excellent fuel economy, it’s excellent value for money.

You’ll travel in style with the daring and eye-catching mix of wheels – 18-inch painted pocket cast-aluminum or 18-inch polished aluminum wheels.

The 2-l petrol engine is highly efficient, so you can enjoy your adventure even longer.

Its impressive performance lets the Compass travel lengthy distances between fill-ups.

In addition to the five-speed manual transmission, the Compass is available with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT2).

A new feature is the six-speed fully electronic automatic gearbox, designed for fuel efficiency and improved performance.

An autostick function provides driver-selectable shifting.

It comes with power output of 115kW and peak torque of 190Nm.

There’s protection from any angle.

Compass helps protect you even in the event of side collisions with up to six air bags, including available supplemental front seat-mounted side air bags, engineered crush zones, door guard beams, an ultra-high strength steel crossbeam and more.

During uphill take-offs, the standard hill start assist feature continues to apply the brakes for a short time while you’re switching from the brake to the accelerator.

And for exceptional handling, the Compass also has a four-wheel independent MacPherson strut front and multilink independent rear suspension.
