Margate Primary explores culture

Olwethu Mehlwana and Thuthukani Mkhize have been selected for the U13 primary schools' trials.

SOME Margate Primary pupils dressed up in ethnic clothes to explain culture and traditions of the Xhosa people for a recent gr 7 Afrikaans oral assessment. Traditional food was prepared at home for fellow pupils to taste and the exercise was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

At the recent South Coast rugby trials, Olwethu Mehlwana and Thuthukani Mkhize were selected to travel to Pietermaritzburg for the U13 primary schools’ trials and are wished lots of good luck.

Gr 3s studied Roald Dahl’s ‘The Big Friendly Giant’ and had a lot of fun creating some excellent pictures to illustrate the story.
