PORT Shepstone Primary decided to expand its language curriculum to incorporate indigenous languages from the beginning of the academic year. Pupils were given the option of choosing either Afrikaans or isiZulu as the first additional language, but the decision to offer two language streams resulted in the shortage of a classroom.
However, the Department of Education and the Department of Public Works came to PSP’s rescue by providing an additional building. The new building was delivered to the school at the end of April and the school management team and governing body would like to express its gratitude to both departments for assistance in ensuring delivery.
