Tolls to cost you more

Here's exactly how much you will be paying as from May 24.

TOLL road tariffs will go up as of next Saturday, May 24. The national roads agency, Sanral, announced last Friday that tariffs would be adjusted in line with inflation.

According to Sanral, this will affect some of the national toll routes.

Operators of heavy vehicles, such as those with three or more axles, will be hardest hit.

At the Izotsha off-ramp motorists will now pay R7 for class one vehicles, R13 for class two, R17 for class three and R23 for class four.

At the Oribi mainline, motorists will pay R22, R40, R56 and R90.

At the south ramp from Marburg class one toll will remain R10. Class two to four tolls will change to R19, R26 and R41.

The north ramp from Marburg class one toll will remain R10 but will change to R18, R26 and R46 for olasses two, three and four.

The Umtentweni ramps will go up to R9.50, R17, R24 and R39.
