Young lawyer follows in father's footsteps

Ankia Jacobs also earned a place on the Dean's Merit List for her academic performance.

Senior Public Prosecutor Freek Stander is celebrating the academic achievement of his youngest daughter, Ankia Jacobs, who graduated with an LLB degree from the University of Pretoria on May 27.

Following in the footsteps of her father, Ankia also earned a place on the Dean’s Merit List for her academic performance.

A former learner of Hoërskool Suid-Natal, Ankia is currently completing her articles at a law firm in Sandton, where she lives with her husband, Hanno Jacobs.

Sue Ann Stander, Freek’s wife and also a lawyer, said she and Freek are proud of Ankia’s accomplishment and her dedication to pursuing a career in law.
