PSSP prepares for annual winter sports day

A total of 15 local schools will be taking part in the annual winter sports day programme.

IT IS business as usual at Port Shepstone Senior Primary as the many holiday breaks are over for now. The special programme of work given to pupils to complete during the recent holiday has paid off as it ensured that pupils remained focused and has certainly helped speed up the curriculum.

PSSP will host the annual winter sports day this Saturday, May 17. A total of 15 local schools will be taking part in the event, which promises to be very exciting. The programme offers a wide range of sporting codes, including soccer, netball, rugby and hockey. Parents are welcome to attend.

Interschool hockey and netball fixtures have resumed in earnest with matches played against Margate Primary.

Ntokozo Zibane and Lungelo Mnguni attended the U13 boys’ hockey trials held at Creston College recently and have advanced to the Ugu District team. They will be representing the South Coast at the KZN hockey tournament which takes place on May 16.
