HIBBERDENE Academy is very proud of Khetelo Mjadu, who was awarded a certificate of merit for producing excellent results in English in the International Benchmarking Tests concluded in 2013.
These tests are set and moderated in Australia and the school takes part every year as a benchmark measurement against other schools throughout the world. Hopefully this award will inspire other pupils to achieve in the tests to be conducted in September 2014.
Gr 12 pupils are organising a sports day at the Academy from 8am today (16th) for a life orientation assignment, a day filled with laughter and competition as, with no athletic track at the school’s disposal, races are run on surrounding gravel roads. All pupils from gr RR to matric will be involved and food and refreshments will be on sale.
The Academy is still busy with round table discussions with parents regarding senior pupils’ academic achievements during the first term. These meetings are extremely important for pupils to succeed because no school can manage without parent or guardian cooperation.
