Quilters provide a stitch in time for winter

In total, 22 quilts were delivered to Anerley Haven.

FOR the last eight months, Quilters’ Guild members have been busy putting together lap quilts for residents of  Anerley Haven Frail Care.

After a few workshops which were extremely instructive and fun, everyone got involved by either donating fabric, cutting out squares or sewing up quilts in the chosen pattern ‘disappearing nine patch’, which is easy and attractive.

One of the Quilters’ Guild committee members, Margi Anderson, delivered the 22 lap quilts to the centre and was welcomed by surprised, but extremely grateful residents.

Now someone’s mom, gran or grandpa will have a warm covering for the imminent cold winter months.
