Abandoned ballot boxes collected

FOLLOWING last week’s report of ballot boxes ditched on the side of the N2 highway near Ilfracombe, the Mid South Coast Mail contacted the IEC and SAPS. A regional IEC official promptly arrived to collect the ballot boxes, which have been identified as belonging to ward 96 of eThekweni. IEC officials have begun an investigation into why the boxes were disposed of.

Mail staff were relieved when the professional IEC official collected the boxes. This may have something to do with the death stares they received while driving with the boxes and walking through the mall to get the boxes into the office, incidentally past an ANC official. Completely understandable as patriots were very serious about free and fair elections.
