LAST week, pre-primary pupils visited Riverbend Crocodile Farm to learn about different snakes and crocodiles. An interactive lesson where pupils got to touch a brown house snake and a baby crocodile. The school thanks Allan Peckham and the Riverbend Crocodile Farm for an enjoyable and educationally stimulating day.
Southcity Junior Primary had an exciting ‘funathon’ recently and all grades took part in this fund-raising event. With parents’ support, pupils were encouraged to complete as many obstacle course laps as possible. The Dragon Castle was just one of the popular activities provided and enjoyed.
Sports results: College netball played Toti High recently and the U14s, U16s and first teams all narrowly lost, but achieved good results against a notoriously good netball school. Game of the day was the first team game with a score of 17-27.
College girls’ hockey vs Sheppie High: first girls won 5-0, seconds lost 2-0, U16 lost 2-0 and U14 won 1-0 and vs Kingsway last Saturday, firsts won 2-0, U16s won 2-1, seconds drew 0-0 and U14s drew 1 all. College rugby vs Grosvenor, U16 won 40-3 and U15 lost 7-30
Preparatory results from last Saturday’s tournament at Sheppie Senior Primary, U13 girls’ hockey won two matches and drew one. U13 netball won five games, U13 rugby won one, drew one and lost two.
