Reward offered for missing surfboards

Help a surfer get his sticks back.

A SURFER is desperately looking for two of his custom-made surfboards which were stolen from his Land Rover’s trailer along the N2 in Marburg, near Port Shepstone last Tuesday morning.

Pieter-Ben van Rhijn (40), from Richards Bay, was travelling to East London when his boards, strapped to a trailer, were scooped by thieves.

“Due to the roadworks we were travelling very slowly and I am convinced that my straps were loosened on the trailer,” he said.

Pieter-Ben said that when he went back to the area, many people informed him that they had seen men trying to sell the boards. He is offering a reward to anyone who finds the boards. He will also compensate the person who may have purchased the stolen boards.

The surfboards were both inside individual silver board bags.

One of the boards is a Al Merrick Flyer, 6’2″x20 1/2″x2 5/8″ white board with yellow deck, while the other is a Clayton Dredger, 6’6”x 19 5/8 x 2 5/8″ white board and a deck design.

Anyone who knows anything about boards can contact Pieter-Ben at 035 9053783 or 083 3013398.
