PORT Shepstone High’s gr 11 pupils had an amazing adventure of team building and leadership training at Sweetdale Camp as part of their outdoor education. Gr 11 pupil, Daniel van Schalkwyk, said it was definitely one for the memory book with some activities pushing pupils’ confidence levels to the limit.
The confidence course, night-time scavenger hunts and courses that tested balance were gruelling, but Jacob’s Ladder, abseiling, the climbing wall and high ropes definitely made pupils’ knees shake. They had fun testing speed and aerodynamics on the water slide and in the end, the bruises, stiff bodies and baggy eyes each morning were all worth it. ‘Seussical the Musical’ came to an end last weekend and the cast and crew would like to thank everyone who came to watch and everyone who made the play a success.
Congratulations to the following pupils who were selected for KZN sports teams, boys U18C hockey team, Kwezi Senene; girls U18A netball team, Prosperity Zangwa and Qhawe Mnani, and girls U17 netball team, Nozi Dindikazi.
