CONGRATULATIONS to Southcity College pupil Daina Pieterse on being selected to play for the KZN Coastals U16 hockey team. Southcity’s U16 rugby team won 8-0 against PSHS U16A; netball firsts vs HSN seconds, SC won 18-9; U16 vs Suidies U16A, Southcity lost; U14 girls beat HSN U15B 15-2.
Hannah Nero (gr 8) and Nobuhle Mnikathi (gr 9) have been selected to take part in the final round of the U14 KZN coastal trials this Friday. First hockey girls against HSN, 3-0; U16, 0-0.
Preparatory vs PSSP: U13A boys’ hockey, SC won 4-1; U13A hockey girls won 6-0 at home and SC U11A hockey boys won 3-0. Junior Primary’s grades 1, 2 and 3 girls played hockey against Izotsha, gr 1 won 7-0, gr 2 won 7-0, and gr 3 won 15-0. Grades 1, 2 and 3 boys’ soccer vs Izotsha, gr 1 won 5-0, gr 2 won 2-0 and gr 3 won 2-0.
Last week Southcity Christian Schools had a very successful book fair. ‘Books 2 You’ brought a large variety of interesting books which was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
