ISLAMIC School’s ‘soccerites’ took part in a provincial soccer tournament organised by the Association of Muslim Schools recently. Coach Shuaib Fareed praised the boys for their tenacity in tackling opponents in a sustained manner.
Despite not being placed as winners, the boys did not give up until the end at this enjoyable event. Coach Fareed pointed out that the much-awaited AstroTurf will improve players’ skills and performance on the field.
The woman’s committee of Port Shepstone, led by Hasina Ebrahim, has taken it upon itself to assist the school with raising the remainder of the necessary funds for the school’s AstroTurf project, which is near completion. The committee will be hosting a high tea and fair at the Islamic School Hall this Saturday, June 7.
The public is invited to support this project, which will provide a sporting and social outlet for the youth. For further information and ticket sales, contact Mrs Ebrahim at 082 3028734.
