A MOTHER (39) and her son (5) were held captive during a robbery at their home in Ramsgate last Thursday.
The woman was in the garden when two men, one armed with a firearm and one with a knife, approached her.
“The mother was threatened and dragged into the house, where her child was at the time,” said police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka.
The men took the mother and child to the kitchen where they bound their hands. “The thieves demanded the keys to the safe and ransacked the house,” said Capt Mfeka.
In a bizarre twist, one of the men caressed the woman’s after removing her two wedding rings.
The thieves made off with assorted items, cash and the two wedding bands.
