WHAT is thought to be a lovers’ tiff ended in tragedy when a police constable (35) and her former boyfriend were found dead near a wholesale business in Mtwalume yesterday (Thursday).
It’s believed an argument broke out between the police constable, who was based in Hibberdene, and a man, thought to be her former boyfriend at about 7.30am. He was employed by the SAPS as a clerk.
“The constable was found with a gunshot wound to her chest, and the man with a gunshot wound to his head,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid. A 7.65mm pistol was found at the scene.
Police have opened a murder docket and investigations are continuing.
