DAYS of evading e-toll bills are gone for a Gauteng man (58) who appeared in Hibberdene court yesterday (Tuesday).
The motorist was charged with altering the number on his vehicle’s registration plate which, as a result, did not correspond to the vehicle’s licence disc.
It’s believed the man had defaced his registration plate to evade paying e-toll fees.
The motorist was arrested by Hibiscus Coast Municipal law enforcement officer Devlyn Abbott and was also charged with obstructing the traffic .
“This was due to him parking where he was not supposed to park,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
The man was released on R1 000 bail.
