A WOMAN in Mkholombe, Bhobhoyi was arrested at her home on Monday this week after she was caught with 329 parcels and one plastic bag full of dagga.
The arrest came after police followed up a lead on the 22-year-old woman.
“The total weight of the dagga was 4030.4 grammes,” said police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid. “Police also seized 31 bottles of beer. She was arrested by Warrant Officer Patrick Gosling, Constable Raphael Smithwick, Cst Lee Frost and Cst Mzakwe Makana. The woman appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistarte’s Court on Tuesday this week for possession of drugs and liquor.
Prior to the above arrest, officers also arrested a 26-year-old man in the Port Shepstone taxi rank with 14 straws of heroin and a 19-year-old man near Merlewood with 144 grammes of dagga in his possession. Both men are due to appear in court this week.
