IZOTSHA Primary gr 3 teams took part in a soccer tournament at Creston College and matches were played against Port Edward, Port Shepstone Junior Primary, Southcity and Creston. Although the boys tried their best and played well, they lost three matches and won one. Goalie Slade Jesson had magnetic hands, Jordan Roux was a dynamo on the field and Tayne Rudling scored the only goal.
Suid-Natal Primary held a wonderful winter sports day last Saturday and Izotsha pupils competed in hockey and rugby. The gr 1 to 3 girls played well and displayed good sportsmanship on the field. Gr 4 to 7 girls enjoyed a number of competitive games against Suid-Natal, Margate, Creston, Port Edward, Port Shepstone Senior and Warner Beach primary schools.
The U10 boys won four games, namely Scottburgh (15-5), Kokstad Junior (5-0), Warner Beach (20-0), Suid-Natal (10-5), but lost to Kuswag (10-0). The U11s won against Scottburgh (20-5), Umkomaas (15-0) and drew (0-0) against Kokstad Junior. U13 boys played exceptionally well, winning all games against Port Edward (20-0), Umkomaas (15-0) and Kuswag (60-10).
