Hibberdene Academy creatively explores senses

Pupils soaked up all the information for use back in the classroom.

LAST week before the cold snap, Hibberdene Academy’s gr 7 class made use of the perfect weather and the beach to gain inspiration for a creative writing project. Using all senses, pupils loved the time on the beach and were instructed to feel the sand, hear the waves, taste the mussels, touch the warm ocean water, as well as experience the strength of wave ebbs and flows. Viewing this vast water wonder with the gift of sight, pupils soaked up all the information for use back in the classroom.

All grades are hard at work practising for the show called ‘Saving Mother Earth’ to be held at the school on June 20 at 6.30 pm. All visitors are welcome to attend. There is a small charge of R10 per adult and tuck shop items will be on sale.
