PORT Shepstone Primary commemorated Youth Day on June 12 and past teacher, Professor Gonam Raju, who now resides in Canada, visited the school.
Prof Raju was one of the first teachers posted to Port Shepstone Primary when it was first established in 1966 and, during his address, he explained why Youth Day is celebrated in South Africa. PSP extends appreciation to Prof Raju for taking time off from his holiday to visit the school.
Mid-year assessments have now been completed and all pupils are expected to attend school until the end of the term, because training for the imminent sports day has commenced and mid-term reports will be issued on June 27.
A reminder to all parents that grade 1 registration for 2015 will take place between June 9 and July 25. Enrolments will close as soon as the number of available spaces have been filled.
