A WOMAN was left for dead in Bhobhoyi on Monday this week after being viciously attacked by three men.
According to police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid, the 22-year-old woman had left a tavern in Bhoboyi at about midnight when she was approached by the men who quickly surrounded her.
“One of the men stabbed her eight times. He dragged her into the bushes and raped her. She was then also raped by the man’s two accomplices. ”
The woman managed to crawl to a house some kilometres away to seek help. An ambulance was summoned and she was taken to Murchison Hospital. She was later transferred to Port Shepstone Regional Hospital, where she is said to be in a stable condition.
No arrests have been made.
In a separate incident, a 23-year-old woman was raped at her home near Hibberdene on Monday this week. “The woman was followed home from a local tavern,” said Lt-Col Wiid.
Police arrested a 24-year-old man. He was charged and will appear in court soon.
