THE Lower South Coast SPCA’s clinic is now without a generator after thieves broke in during the early hours of this morning and made off with the expensive piece of equipment. Items were also stolen from the kitchen.
The robbers entered through the back of the premises, breaking a window, a gate and making a large hole in the fence in order to get the generator out. They returned for a second bite of the cherry, but this time they tripped the clinic’s security alarm
The generator is vitally important as it keeps the anaesthesia equipment and monitors in the clinic’s theatre running during power outages.
The SPCA is now in desperate need of a generator, a security beam or even a guard to watch the premises over the weekend.
Anyone who can assist is asked to contact Michael Muller at 060 5020241.
