IZOTSHA Primary has been involved in various outreach projects over the past few weeks. A book drive was held for Siyathanda Ukufunda, a mobile library run by Meg Dickson and her daughter Jenny Baker, with over 400 books being collected for this project. Teacher Carmen Neethling piloted a ‘black bag, pink drive’ project where black bags filled with second-hand clothing were collected for less fortunate people.
‘Friends of Izotsha’, the gr 7 outreach club, collected various toiletry items and each grade concentrated on specific items. These items were delivered to the St Martin’s Children’s Home by club volunteers on Youth Day, where a wonderful celebration took place and soccer and netball was played afterwards.
The school is extremely proud of the beautiful new gardens which are presently being created by Heather Bense.
