Merlewood Primary has talented scientists

Judges had a tough time choosing only four pupils to represent the school at the Regional Science Expo.

MERLEWOOD Primary pupils recently held an internal science expo at school, coordinated by the senior phase science teacher. All budding scientists from grades 5 to 8 were eligible for entry and a total of 20 young scientists entered.

These young ‘scientists’ displayed many innovative ideas and the school’s science teachers, who judged the competition, had a tough time choosing only four candidates to represent the school at the Regional Science Expo to be held in Harding during July.

Pupil Mnqobi Nyawo of Merlewood Primary entered the schoo's internal science expo and will represent the school at the Regional Science Expo in Harding during July.
