TWELVE Port Shepstone Senior Primary pupils represented the school at the district cross-country trials held at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre last week. All athletes did very well with Caitlyn Schlehmeyer placed first in her event, Nikki Schlehmeyer achieved third position and Tebhogo Khawula was placed second in the boys’ event.
Well done to Caitlyn Schlehmeyer who will represent the Ugu District at the provincial cross-country championships to be held in Durban on August 30.
Girls who belong to the Girl Guides Organisation observed Girl Guide World Scarf Day last week and wore special uniforms to school last Friday to raise awareness about ‘Guiding and Scouting’.
Last week, the senior and junior boys’ soccer teams outclassed Creston College to win both matches convincingly, namely11-0 and 5-0 respectively. The girls’ teams on the other hand were very nervous and not as confident and lost to Creston College, but will certainly be training hard for upcoming matches against Port Edward later this month.
