Southcity pupils smash records

The good spirit amongst pupils really helped make the day most successful.

JUDAH house won the Southcity College interhouse athletics. Duncan Viljoen is the senior victor ludorum, senior victrix ludorum is Amber Lourens, Jarod Higgins is junior victor ludorum and Hannah Nero is the junior victrix ludorum.

Age group winners: U19, Duncan Viljoen and Amber Lourens ; U17, Ashton Elliott and Bianca Werner; U16, Jonathan Francesconi and Lona Nonkonyana; U15, Jeandré Michau and Daina Pieterse, and U14, Jarod Higgins and Hannah Nero.

Southcity preparatory had its interhouse athletics meeting last Friday, with fine weather and the good spirit amongst pupils really helped make the day most successful. Many records were broken and although Asher won the day with much excitement, Judah deserved the trophy for the best spirit.

Last Thursday, the two pre-primary classes, Kites and Eagles, had their sports day. It was an informal morning with egg and spoon races, balancing beanbag races, hopping and straight running races. The best part was when each pupil received a Chomp for good sportsmanship.
