THE weather was just right for a very successful and exciting interhouse athletics meeting held last Friday. Two records were broken, one by Maneti Dlezi in the girls’ U13 150m and the other by Mazoseso Mavundla in the boys’ U12 150m.
Points were very close throughout the morning, but the final score was amazing – only half a point separated the winning teams. Hammond house was the overall winner, followed by Mitchell and then Reid.
The senior victor ludorum was a tie between Wandile Duma and Sphamandla Ncane, and the victrix ludorum won by Maneti Dlezi. Junior victor ludorum went to Iviwe Cenga and Kirsie Dicken took junior victrix ludorum.
The foundation phase meeting was also won by Hammond house, followed by Reid and then Mitchell and gr R pupils really looked the part with their house colours made into paper chains, hanging around their necks.
