Women get down to business

The focus of the forum is to inspire women in order to create jobs.

THE Hibiscus Coast Women in Business Forum was officially launched at the Uvongo Town Hall last Friday.

The forum is the brainchild of the Hibiscus Coast Municipality mayor Cynthia Mqwebu. “The idea of the forum is to act as a catalyst in retaining and growing existing business within the Hibiscus Coast,” she said.

She also said the focus of the forum would be to empower women in business in order to create jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities.

The forum intends to select five women from each of the nine clusters to form sub committees. These representatives will receive business training in the form of workshops and will be assisting in the drive for membership.
