PORT Shepstone Junior Primary’s school choir achieved a gold award for its excellent performance at the recent Creston College 2014 Eisteddfod. All gold award winners were then invited to perform at a gala evening last Friday, affording winners the opportunity to showcase their hard work.
The U9 boys and girls ran well at the Creston College cross-country last Wednesday. Jardel Faro took second place, Cade Woodenberg 12th and Phindile Mbali 24th. Amahle Cele came ninth, Siphesihle Nkomo was placed 12th and Ayabonga Sikhakane achieved 14th place for the U9 girls. Nkululeko Mpisane (U10 boys) also placed well in the 30-strong field of runners.
This Saturday’s fun walk promises to be a great family day with raffle prizes like a PlayStation, bicycle and colour printer, and lots of new games like water balls, water slides, pillow fighting, plus food galore.
Congratulations to gr 3 pupils Khanyokuhle Khamanga, Jordan Andrews, Milakwande Mthulu, Olwethu Mbili, Jude Pillay, Aaliyah Essack, Chelsea Pillay, Junior Kyei, Kezia Naicker, Asisipho Ndovela, Keaton Grobler and Nontando Mthuli who have proven to be responsible and sensible enough to be selected as school monitors.
