MARGATE Primary celebrated World Literacy Day on Monday this week, with readings shared from grade 7 down to grade R.
The younger children thoroughly enjoyed being read to by the older pupils and hopefully the joy of reading was introduced to the lower grades.
Suid-Natal’s Winter Sports Day took place last Saturday, with 72 pupils taking part in the numerous events.
Much fun and enjoyment was had by all and some great efforts were recorded.
Sadly, the school says goodbye to one of its foundation phase teachers, Monica Struwig, who has been with the school for 10 years.
Mrs Struwig, and her son Ethan, are going to China where she has accepted a post at an international school in Beijing.
