PORT Shepstone Senior Primary played host to the annual interschool athletics meeting last Saturday.
The sports field was turned into an ‘Olympic’ atmosphere, which saw seven local schools compete in both track and field events.
The school would like to thank all visiting officials and parents for their assistance and support. All athletes are congratulated on the competitive spirit and excellent sportsmanship displayed on the day. Although there was no point system, certificates were awarded to all athletes who were placed first, second and third in each event.
PSSP athletes scooped a total of 18 gold certificates, 14 silver and eight bronze. A special thank you to Coca-Cola for its generous sponsorship of cool drinks.
PSSP’s grade 7 pupils enjoyed their much anticipated three-day outing to Sweetdale Camp last week. They learnt about leadership and teamwork and thoroughly enjoyed the many adventurous and challenging activities.
The final assessments of the term start this Friday, September 12. Parents are once again encouraged to support pupils in their study programmes at home.
