AS part of the ‘Eco Schools Programme’, Port Shepstone High teachers and pupils are involved in an ongoing effort to keep the road between the school and Port Shepstone Regional Hospital (Colley Street) litter-free.
Other activities to celebrate Eco-week included tree planting and tree identification for Arbor Day, as well as an e-waste collection for recycling. Pupils were asked to bring items such as paper, plastic and e-waste to school for recycling.
Sheppie High played soccer against Hillcrest recently and the boys’ first team won 4-0, U16 won 3-0, U15 lost 1-2, and U14 lost 0-1. The girls’ first team won 2-0, U16 team drew 1-1, U15 won 2-1 and U14 lost 1-2.
The sevens rugby first team did exceptionally well in a very challenging tournament at Glenwood recently, narrowly losing in the shield semi-final to Hilton 19-17.
